    DATA PROTECTION - how your personal information will be used.

    By registering with us, you consent to the following:

    • YBS and its associated undertakings (“we/us”) will use your personal information, together with other information available within the YBS group, to manage your business relationship with us, to administer your commission payments, for fraud prevention and detection, legal and regulatory compliance, market research, preparing strategic plans or marketing plans and to inform you of products and other relevant information. We may disclose such information to third parties under conditions of confidentiality where this is necessary for these purposes.
    • The additional personal information you supply (Date and Town/City of Birth) will be used to remove duplicate records from our database and to link you to the Savings Club/Network to which you belong.
    • You have a right of access under the Data Protection Act to your personal records held by us, subject to the payment of a fee. A Subject Access Request Form (YBS39) can be obtained from this website by clicking on the link.
    • You have the right to have any inaccuracies corrected.
    • If you have personal accounts with us and have told us you do not wish to receive marketing material, we will continue to respect your wishes.

    Terms and Conditions of the Introducer Service.

    After registering, you will have the right to submit applications to us and to receive commission, via your Savings Club/Network, if that business is accepted. However, YBS and its associated undertakings are not obliged to accept applications submitted by you. Any applications which are not accepted will be returned to you, together with any accompanying documentation and funds.

    Your obligations

    • You must be a member of a Savings Club/Network and comply at all times with any conditions of membership.
    • You must ensure that all business introduced to us complies with your Financial Conduct Authority permissions and with the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulatory Authority Handbook.
    • You must tell us immediately if you lose your Financial Services registration or are investigated or disciplined by the Financial Conduct Authority or Prudential Regulatory Authority.
    • You must tell us immediately if you cease to be Savings Club/Network member.
    • You must not hold yourself out as authorised to introduce any business to us which is outside the scope of this registration and/or agreed with your Savings Club/Network.
    • You must provide all applicants for our products with complete and unaltered copies of all relevant documents, (including terms and conditions), displayed on our pages on your Savings Club/Network website. This also applies to any products we subsequently offer on our YBS website.
    • If you complete an application form on behalf of the applicant(s), you must have their permission to do so. You must also explain to them that they agree to our declarations on the printed application form, or if you apply online, as detailed on our declaration form, which you must provide to the applicant(s).
    • You must only submit applications on our current printed application form or via our website when available.
    • For paper applications: you must ensure that your Intermediary Registration number is included on each application form, otherwise we will not pay you any commission on that business, although we will still process the application in the normal way.
    • You must not amend, delete or add to our terms & conditions or application forms.
    • You must not accept P.O. box and c/o addresses from applicants, neither must you use your own address.
    • You must disclose to applicants that you will be receiving commission from us on all accepted business which you introduce to us.
    • You are responsible for any advice you may or may not give to applicants. We will not accept any liability for any representations you may make to an applicant which are not in our documentation.
    • You must keep our commission rates and business information confidential, including after you have ceased to act as our intermediary.
    • You must inform us immediately of any complaints you receive relating to us and co-operate with us to resolve them.
    • You must comply with all terms and conditions for use of our website.

    Our rights

    • We may not accept your registration and we may terminate your registration at any time if we have reasonable grounds to do so (including, but not limited to, your Financial Services registration having been cancelled or you having failed any of our checks) and inform your Savings Club/Network of this, although we will not tell them the reason why.
    • Payment of correct commission by us periodically to your Savings Club/Network will constitute full and final settlement of our obligations in respect of commission owed to you for that period.
    • Our commission rates may be different for different products and will be set out in the product information.
    • We have the right not to pay commission on any business introduced by you at a time when you are not registered with us or after your registration has terminated.
    • We have the right to market directly to all accepted applicants in accordance with the marketing permissions they give us.

    Commissions

    • We will pay aggregated commissions monthly to your Savings Club, which will then be responsible for remitting the correct amount to you.
    • You agree to indemnify us in full on demand for any breaches of these terms and conditions.
